Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Customer Experience)

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Customer Experience application development teams. This role involves driving the future of Metropolis products, contributing to a vision and strategy for building top-notch customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a product-oriented mindset and a passion for technology and customer satisfaction. This leader will inspire and motivate their team, shape a strong engineering culture across distributed locations, and ensure that software development efforts align with customer needs and contribute to the company's overall growth and profitability. The Senior Manager will work closely with leads across Product Management, Software Engineering, Data Science, and User Research to identify and build impactful products.

• Executing on a multi-year vision and strategy for developing customer-facing product offerings.
• Establishing processes for operational excellence in system reliability.
• Coaching and mentoring the engineering team.
• Driving the hiring of top talent and setting the culture within Metropolis Engineering.
• Fostering a collaborative environment for nurturing product and technical ideas.
• Managing the delivery of high-impact workflow, dashboard, and data visualization applications.
• Contributing to improving a customer-oriented mindset across Metropolis.

• 5+ years of Management experience and 10+ years of software development experience building customer-centric applications and products.
• Experience scaling and supporting 10+ person teams and building a strong bench of senior individual contributors.
• Experience in successfully executing initiatives with strategic business impact.
• Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration while building customer solutions in B2C and B2B settings.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and software products in high-volume consumer-facing applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
