Metropolis is seeking a Senior Manager to lead one of its Customer Experience application development teams. The ideal candidate will have a product-oriented mindset with a passion for technology and customer satisfaction. This individual will inspire and motivate their team and shape a strong engineering culture across distributed locations.Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world. Responsibilities: - Execute on multi-year vision and strategy for developing customer-facing Product offerings.
- Establish processes for operational excellence in system reliability.
- Coach and mentor the engineering team.
- Drive hiring of top talent and set the culture within Metropolis Engineering.
- Foster a collaborative environment for product and technical ideas.
- Manage the delivery of high-impact workflow, dashboard, and data visualization applications.
- Contribute to improving customer-oriented mindset competency across Metropolis.
Requirements: - 5+ years of Management experience and 10+ years of software development experience building customer-centric applications and products.
- Experience scaling and supporting 10+ person teams.
- Experience in successfully executing initiatives with strategic business impact.
- Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration in B2C and B2B settings.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and software products in high-volume consumer-facing applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
