Job Description

Metropolis, an AI company focused on checkout-free experiences, is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead its Customer Experience application development teams. The role involves driving the future of Metropolis products, contributing to the vision and strategy for building top-notch customer experiences.

The Senior Manager will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, Data Science, and User Research to identify and build impactful products. This role offers the opportunity to build an end-to-end mobility platform supporting various use cases.

Responsibilities include:

• Executing on a multi-year vision and strategy for customer-facing product offerings.
• Establishing processes for operational excellence in system reliability.
• Coaching and mentoring the engineering team.
• Driving hiring and shaping the engineering culture.
• Fostering a collaborative environment for product and technical innovation.
• Managing the delivery of high-impact workflow, dashboard, and data visualization applications.
• Improving customer-oriented mindset competency across Metropolis.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Management experience and 10+ years of software development experience building customer centric applications and products.
• Experience scaling and supporting 10+ person teams.
• Experience in successfully executing initiatives with strategic business impact.
• Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration in B2C and B2B settings.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and software products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
