Job Description
Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Desktop Foundation team. This role is based in Redwood City, CA, and focuses on building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and monitoring infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with other software engineers to ensure confident shipping and management of features in production.
  • Collaborating with the Desktop Foundation team in Redwood City and Warsaw.
  • Working across teams to enhance tools and frameworks.
  • Engaging in peer reviews and creating documentation.
  • Exploring design options and sharing insights.
  • Working with CI systems, release systems, and automation frameworks.
  • Streamlining the platform for engineers to run tests.
  • Leading team projects and maintaining code quality.
  • Investigating and fixing development process pain points.
  • Developing metrics and alerts for infrastructure health monitoring.
  • At least 5 years of experience in development or operations.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Java, or Go).
  • Understanding of software design principles.
  • Experience with testing frameworks/methodologies.
  • Collaborative spirit and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and SCM solutions.
  • Experience managing VMs and associated tools.
