Job Description

IMC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Operations Engineering team in Amsterdam. This role is crucial for advancing automation and streamlining workflows within the user environment across macOS, Linux, and Windows. The Senior Systems Engineer will contribute to uplifting the team's technical capabilities, enabling smarter operations, and supporting global automation initiatives.

Role involves:

  • Engineering, maintaining, and evolving user environments across macOS and Linux.
  • Building automated workflows using Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Optimizing performance for user-facing tools and platforms.
  • Mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams across multiple locations.
  • Designing and implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • Deep expertise in macOS and Linux environments.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud setups (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Comfortable scripting and automating tasks using PowerShell, Python, and API integrations.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Solid documentation and operational handover habits.
  • A problem-solving mindset.
