Job Description
Forter is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, Observability to enhance their developer experience and observability practices. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will help shape the future of observability at Forter, building scalable monitoring systems and intuitive developer tools.
What this role involves:
- Collaborating on the design, build, and maintenance of Forter’s observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Working alongside a senior engineer to migrate from the existing ELK stack to a more scalable platform.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to improve their observability practices.
- Creating a culture of continuous learning by sharing knowledge and contributing to team-wide discussions.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Mimir, Grafana, ELK, Honeycomb, Loki, or Quickwit.
- Experience building and monitoring systems using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby).
- Extensive experience working with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or other cloud platforms and container orchestration tools.
