Principal Incubation Engineer - Frontend

Snyk is seeking a Principal Incubation Engineer - Frontend to lead the technical execution and realization of their Agentic UX vision for groundbreaking new products. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping how users interact with Snyk's cutting-edge security solutions. This role involves leveraging strong frontend skills, data visualization expertise, and the ability to seamlessly integrate with backend APIs to bring sophisticated agentic workflows to life. The Principal Engineer will work closely with design, driving the technical implementation of tools, MCPs (Management Control Panels), launch agents, just-in-time reports, and other key elements of Snyk's Agentic UX.

As a technical leader, the Principal Incubation Engineer will guide the frontend aspects of a small, senior, cross-functional team and have a significant impact on product usability and adoption.

Role involves:

• Leading the technical design and development of complex user interfaces.
• Implementing sophisticated data visualizations.
• Architecting and implementing seamless integration with backend APIs.
• Shaping the user experience of innovative greenfield security products.
• Collaborating closely with designers.
• Driving the technical implementation of key Agentic UX components.
• Ensuring the responsiveness, accessibility, and overall quality of the frontend.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Motion, Tailwind).
• Proven experience building sophisticated user interfaces and data visualizations.
• Strong understanding of backend, backend-of-frontend, and state management.
• Passion for user-centered design and creating innovative user experiences.
• Experience working closely with designers.
