Job Description

dmg events is seeking an Event Director to lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of a leading healthcare event in Dubai. The Event Director will oversee all aspects of event management, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all participants. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a keen understanding of the healthcare sector.Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term event strategy.
• Mentor, manage, and motivate a high-performance cross-functional team.
• Build relationships with government supporters and host partners.
• Own the overall event revenue target and maximize commercial opportunities.
• Work with the marketing team to develop engaging event collateral.
• Work with the production team to develop relevant content streams.
• Work with the operations team to develop market-leading features.
• Own the event P&L, ensuring budgeted costs are adhered to.

Requirements:

• Significant experience working for an international events organizer in a senior leadership role.
• A demonstrated track record of launching and growing international events.
• A keen understanding of the healthcare sector.
• A proven ability to position exhibitions and conferences that attract significant high-level stakeholder interest.
• Knowledge and experience of Profit & Loss responsibility.
• Substantial customer-facing experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with software such as Salesforce.
