Job Description

HousingAnywhere is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Science & Engineering team in Rotterdam. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience building reliable and scalable data applications. This role involves designing clean pipelines and collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams. The Data Engineer will be the second data engineer on the team, impacting the entire company by enabling decision-makers, creating operational efficiencies, and driving growth.Role involves:

• Designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Implementing batch and real-time ingestion pipelines.
• Defining and maintaining data contracts.
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams.
• Building automation and integration tools.
• Championing reliability, observability, and security.

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of experience as a software or data engineer.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience integrating third-party tools and services.
• Comfortable with containerization and modern infrastructure practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working with application databases—PostgreSQL preferred.
