Job Description

MaintainX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the development of its modern data platform on Databricks. This role involves enabling analytics and machine learning functionalities, empowering users to maximize the value of their data. The engineer will contribute to internal decision-making and accelerate MaintainX's transformation into a data-driven company.

The Staff Data Engineer will join a growing team dedicated to building a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly platform for data engineers and others within the organization.

Role Involves:

• Acting as a technical expert for the data platform, designing architecture, improving systems, and guiding technical decisions.
• Designing and developing tools to facilitate internal use of Databricks.
• Establishing and promoting best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborating with software developers, ML engineers, and analysts to deliver necessary datasets and tools.
• Mentoring and supporting data engineering team members.
• Delivering quickly while laying a solid foundation for the future.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, software development, data science, machine learning, and/or analytics.
• Understanding of the intersection between data engineering and platform engineering.
• Experience building platforms or tooling for internal users.
• Good knowledge of Databricks and modern data processing technologies.
• Proficiency in Spark and Delta Lake.
• Familiarity with cloud tools and infrastructure (AWS).
• Collaborative and results-oriented mindset.
