MaintainX is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead their AI/ML team. MaintainX is the leading mobile-first workflow management platform for industrial and frontline workers. The company is building the GitHub for real-world work procedures and improving operational efficiency for numerous companies.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a hybrid team of fullstack and AI/ML developers, focusing on creating product experiences and integrating intelligence into operations. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team of applied machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to develop and deploy AI/ML products from end to end.

What this role involves:

• Leading cross-functional teams of 6-10 developers.
• Owning the technical roadmap and strategy in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Fostering a culture of experimentation, applied research, and rigorous measurement.
• Leading, developing, and mentoring developers on the team.
• Highlighting the team's impact to senior management.
• Recruiting and mentoring world-class AI talent.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of engineering management experience, with at least 2 years leading high-performing AI/ML and/or applied science teams.
• Experience managing teams including fullstack developers, AI/ML engineers, and data scientists.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of modern web development frameworks (React, Node.js) and API design.
• Understanding of AI/ML technologies: Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with ML/LLM ecosystems.
• Strong product sense.
