Job Description
OnBoard is seeking a Software Engineer II to support the design of technical solutions in collaboration with a team of developers and UX designers. This role involves implementing product changes and automated tests, following the team’s development workflow, and ensuring code quality. The Software Engineer II will work under the direction of senior team members and managers.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs using C#/.NET Core and frontend features with Vue.JS
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring across the stack
  • Work closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality
  • Track and debug code issues across both backend and frontend components
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Create clear documentation of implementation decisions
  • Contribute to agile development processes
  • Leverage GenAI tools for code generation, refactoring, and test case creation
  • Experiment with large language models (LLMs) and evaluate prompt effectiveness

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, preferred
  • 3 - 5 years Software Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in both backend (C#/.NET Core) and frontend (Vue.JS or similar) development
  • Strong proficiency in team-oriented git workflow, preferably in Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to GenAI tools and basic experience with prompt engineering
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices
