GitLab is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead and execute sales strategies in Paris, France. The Area Sales Manager will report to the Area Vice President of Southern Europe. This role involves exceeding revenue targets and expanding the client base within the territory.

The Area Sales Manager with GitLab will be responsible for:

  • Leading and executing sales strategies to exceed revenue and growth targets
  • Developing and executing strategies to expand the client base
  • Maintaining close contact with assigned accounts and key decision-makers
  • Analyzing market dynamics to maximize existing successes and create new sales opportunities
  • Driving the transformation to a solution-selling approach
  • Prioritizing customer adoption and consumption
  • Leading efforts to explore and execute verticalization
  • Preparing forecasts, territory/industry management, and growth plans
  • Educating the team on industry factors
  • Establishing and reporting on metrics to measure team performance
  • Managing a team of 5-10 Strategic Account Executives
  • Hiring, coaching, and developing top talent

Requirements for this role include:

  • Progressive experience in field sales, operations, and leadership in open source software or software DevOps environment
  • Experience selling to Fortune 500 companies
  • Experience leading field sales teams using MEDDPICC or similar sales methodology
  • Strong solution selling experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives
  • Experience utilizing CRM and marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Clari, Marketo)
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation and executive-level communication skills
  • Alignment with GitLab's values
  • Ability to use GitLab
  • Ability to travel if needed
