Job Description

Verra Mobility is seeking a Manager, Operations to oversee the Government Solutions Event Processing department. This role is based in Manhattan, New York. The Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day business operations, ensuring adequate staffing, and maintaining high-quality work while prioritizing employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to make sound business decisions.

Role Involves:

• Managing day-to-day business operations and inventory levels
• Overseeing operational results of subcontractor organizations and remote offices
• Developing and motivating employees through communication, feedback, and coaching
• Identifying ways to create a highly valued and engaged work environment
• Contributing thought-leadership to shape the future direction of the department
• Conducting regular 1-on-1 sessions and team meetings
• Addressing sensitive employee performance and behavior issues
• Engaging in service recovery activities for escalated customer issues
• Strengthening relationships with internal departments, customers, and vendors
• Serving as a change-agent for process and organizational improvements
• Serving as a key point person on strategic projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Proven results-driven leadership experience
• Ability to develop and engage with employees
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to influence across the organization
• Exceptional relationship-building skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Quality-driven with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Must be on the east coast and willing to travel up to 10% of the time
