Job Description
Verra Mobility is seeking a Manager, Operations to oversee the Government Solutions Event Processing department. This role is based in Manhattan, New York. The Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day business operations, ensuring adequate staffing, and maintaining high-quality work while prioritizing employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to make sound business decisions.
Role Involves:
- Managing day-to-day business operations and inventory levels
- Overseeing operational results of subcontractor organizations and remote offices
- Developing and motivating employees through communication, feedback, and coaching
- Identifying ways to create a highly valued and engaged work environment
- Contributing thought-leadership to shape the future direction of the department
- Conducting regular 1-on-1 sessions and team meetings
- Addressing sensitive employee performance and behavior issues
- Engaging in service recovery activities for escalated customer issues
- Strengthening relationships with internal departments, customers, and vendors
- Serving as a change-agent for process and organizational improvements
- Serving as a key point person on strategic projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven results-driven leadership experience
- Ability to develop and engage with employees
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to influence across the organization
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Quality-driven with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must be on the east coast and willing to travel up to 10% of the time
