Job Description
Critical Mass is seeking an Account Director to expertly manage and grow client relationships. The ideal candidate will be viewed by clients as an expert and trusted advisor, using engaging leadership to cultivate senior-level client relationships. This role is responsible for the overall profitability of the business and client satisfaction.He/She will:
- Lead integrated, full-funnel campaigns from inception through to final execution and trafficking.
- Provide strategic direction for clients while overseeing flawless execution of project work.
- Foster relationships with clients to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
- Lead internal teams and client teams.
- Manage financials for the client and lead internal financial reporting/forecasting.
- Develop and deliver organic growth within accounts.
- Deliver metrics on the quality of the relationship and the product provided to accounts.
- Ensure all Statements of Work are drafted, documented, accurate, and implemented.
- Foster relationships across the multi-disciplinary teams within the agency and across our agency partners.
- Mentor and coach team members while motivating and leading overall project teams.
- Define and implement best practices at the business unit level.
- Contribute to overall development of the Client Services department.
The ideal candidate has:
- 5-10 years of Account Management experience in agencies with a strong focus on digital/performance-based work.
- Experience leading large-scale productions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, often interacting with senior-level clients.
- Ability to multitask across multiple concurrent projects with a high volume of deliverables within each work stream.
- Experience managing digital projects on behalf of clients in the technology or B2B sectors.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable moving forward with limited information/direction
- Experience working with complex project and complex clients, delivering annual services revenues in excess of $5MM.
- A solid understanding of user-centric digital product design.
- Competency managing complex teams and matrixed client relations.
- Solid experience formulating and driving long-term strategic account plans, strategies, and roadmaps.
- Ability to react quickly, assess, and implement solutions.
- Advanced negotiation, communication, writing, and organization skills with an outstanding attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills to motivate distributed teams, and ability to dive into solutioning where needed.
- Patience to work with others using tact and good judgement.
