Job Description
Two Six Technologies is seeking a System Engineer to join their Corporate Security team in Herndon, VA. This role involves administering and maintaining the classified network and assisting the Information System Security Manager in ensuring compliance for assigned classified and unclassified networks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
What this role involves:
- Engineering and maintaining Information Systems for both classified and unclassified use
- Install, configure, administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations
- Administering user accounts and access control within information systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Performing system backups and data recovery
- Providing on-call support for outages as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience supporting a classified network as a System Engineer and/or Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related degree
- 8140 certification such as Security+, GCISP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP, etc.
- Solid experience supporting Windows servers or workstations
- Working knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow and Talon
- Working knowledge of government regulations such as the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, etc.
- Working knowledge of the Linux environment
- Basic understanding of security compliance matrix
