Job Description
Galaxy is seeking a VP of Inventory Management to architect, develop, and manage the company's asset and inventory tracking systems. This role involves taking ownership of configuring, implementing, and maintaining a system that provides real-time visibility into inventory, part usage, and work performed. The VP of Inventory Management will improve operational efficiency, reduce idle inventory, and support data-driven decision-making.Role involves:
- Evaluating current inventory management system and recommending improvements.
- Customizing the system for operations, including asset hierarchies and work order flows.
- Ensuring real-time tracking of inventory.
- Developing inventory strategies for critical SKUs.
- Standardizing labeling, classification, and location tracking.
- Automating regular reporting on stock levels and usage rates.
- Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams.
- Conducting audits and health checks.
- Leading system rollout and driving cross-departmental adoption.
- Building and leading a high-performing team of inventory managers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience implementing and managing ERP or inventory management systems.
- Experience with platforms like Sunbird, ServiceNow, RF Code, Oracle NetSuite, etc.
- Strong process design skills with an emphasis on usability.
- Confident trainer and communicator.
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and pragmatic.
- Technically proficient and comfortable managing digital tools.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset.
- Experience supporting fast-paced operations.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
