Job Description
Galaxy is seeking a VP of Procurement to support their Data Center Operations team. This role involves managing sourcing, supply chains, negotiation, and vendor relationships for capital equipment, critical infrastructure, and services that power Galaxy's hyperscale data centers. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, complex environments, and a track record of successful supplier/vendor management, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
What this role involves:
- Developing and executing sourcing strategies.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.
- Leading commercial negotiations for high-value agreements.
- Partnering with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams.
- Leveraging market intelligence and supplier data.
- Evaluating and mitigating risks related to supply chain continuity.
- Driving procurement process improvements and automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years supporting hyperscale or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Proven success in supplier relationship management and negotiation of large-scale agreements.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
