Platform Engineer Contractor

Job Description

EarnIn is seeking a Platform Engineer Contractor to join their Platform team. This role offers hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, working with AWS, and automating infrastructure processes. The contractor will collaborate with Platform Engineers on critical infrastructure and automation tasks.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineers to assist in managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.
• Assist in the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid deployment and scalability.
• Gain exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, learning to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to automation efforts, helping to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual workloads.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to enhance platform efficiency.
• Assist in coding and scripting tasks using Python or Go to automate various platform operations.
• Learn and implement basic monitoring and logging for infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.

Requirements:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker containerization technologies.
• Some experience or understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go, with a passion for automating tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Enthusiastic about learning and exploring cloud-native technologies and infrastructure management.
