Job Description

Axon is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Software Implementations team in Chicago. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in shaping the future of public safety technology by collaborating with law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations. They will help these organizations leverage cutting-edge software solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What this role involves:

  • Capturing and translating customer needs into clear and concise business process documentation.
  • Analyzing complex business challenges and providing clarity and structure where ambiguity exists.
  • Partnering with customers to configure software systems tailored to their business objectives.
  • Assessing the feasibility, impact, and cost of proposed solutions.
  • Designing, administering, and documenting functional acceptance tests to validate software performance and usability.
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive training plans and materials.
  • Collaborating across departments to drive company-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive process improvements.
  • Experience gathering requirements, optimizing workflows, and facilitating change management within teams.
  • Familiarity with software configurations and coding experience (particularly JSON) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading initiatives and working cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented thinker who thrives in ambiguity and can break down complex problems.
  • A deep commitment to Axon’s mission of protecting life and ensuring justice through technology.
  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.
