Data Engineer - Scala

Kunai is seeking a Data Engineer - Scala to join their team. The Data Engineer will be part of a group of makers, breakers, doers and disruptors, who solve real problems and meet real customer needs.Role involves:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications.
• Designing and implementing GraphQL APIs.
• Working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding microservices architecture principles.
• Working with cloud services (AWS preferred).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Scala, Java, Go).
• Understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Understanding of microservices architecture principles.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with security best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
