Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is seeking a junior-level Data Engineer to join their Internal Systems pillar in Krakow. This pillar focuses on transforming how Viator harnesses data to drive innovation and growth. The Data Engineer will be responsible for creating data-driven solutions that empower teams and enhance customer experiences.

The role is a remote-first hybrid position based out of the Krakow office.

What this role involves:

• Implementing modern data pipelines for various data scales.
• Monitoring data pipelines for accuracy and SLA compliance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define data product requirements.
• Reconciling data issues and driving improvements.
• Coding, testing, and documenting data systems.
• Contributing to optimized data solution designs.
• Owning and documenting data pipelines and related metrics.

What candidate needs:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Data Engineering experience with data modeling and pipeline development.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience setting up end-to-end data pipelines in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS).
• Exposure to Apache Airflow or similar data orchestration frameworks.
