ML Operations Engineer II (Viator)

Job Description

Viator is seeking a ML Operations Engineer II to join their team and support the company's growth. In this hybrid role, based in Lisbon, the candidate will play a pivotal role in making data scientists more productive and enabling broader utilization of machine learning techniques.

The role involves:

• Empowering Data Science and ML teams with tools and infrastructure.
• Supporting tech stack evolution, contributing to the migration into the AWS cloud.
• Building and maintaining a robust and scalable infrastructure for model needs.
• Fostering a culture of innovation and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
• Touching code at every level – from the UI, backend microservices, database, big data processing, operations, to CD/CI automation.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of ML engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Good grasp of IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Previous exposure to technologies like Python, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes is desirable.
• Ability to develop across a diverse technology stack.
• Experience participating on cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and platforms.
• High quality verbal and written communication skills.
