Job Description
The Student Hotel in Maastricht is seeking a talented and driven Handyman to join their team. The Handyman will be the first point of contact for guests and team members regarding maintenance and technical issues, working closely with the Asset Manager and Hotel Manager. This role involves a variety of tasks, ensuring no two days are the same. The Student Hotel is known for breaking the rules in hospitality, offering a fun, creative, and inspiring environment where everyone can be themselves.
What this role involves:
- Being the first point of contact for maintenance issues reported by guests and colleagues.
- Performing relevant repair work in and around the hotel.
- Conducting regular maintenance checks.
- Liaising with internal and external parties regarding technical and maintenance topics.
Requirements:
- Capable of prioritizing and coordinating tasks.
- Enjoys connecting with guests and colleagues.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Flexible and available for emergency help outside of office hours.
- Eager to learn and share experiences.
- LBO/MBO-level of working and thinking with relevant training in maintenance/construction (VCA-basis certificates).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (hotel environment preferred).
- Social with a guest-oriented mindset, comfortable interacting with diverse backgrounds.
- Good command of Dutch and proficiency in English.
- Legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
