Staff Product Designer, Contractors

Job Description

Gusto is seeking a Staff Product Designer to contribute to the maturity of its contractor products. The designer will be an individual contributor, helping to drive foundational shifts to Gusto's platform and customer experiences. This role presents a unique opportunity to make significant experience changes to established, business-critical workflows.As part of a cross-functional team, the Staff Product Designer will drive the entire product development process, from setting the long-term vision and strategic planning to launching new features and iterating on existing ones. They will collaborate with partners in UX Research, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Ops, and Customer Support to understand customer problems and identify key opportunities.Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define a long-term UX vision.
• Design and ship both net-new and iterative projects.
• Contribute to Gusto’s product design community.
• Champion Gusto's design system and platform standards.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of Product Design experience.
• Experience leading design direction at the product level.
• Comfortable with complexity and maturing existing products.
• Product acumen and experience working with executive stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain design quality and accessibility across platforms.
