Job Description
Wellhub, formerly known as Gympass, is seeking a Tech Lead | Backend Software Engineer to join its GenAI team in Brazil. This role involves building the next generation of AI-powered solutions by providing high-quality data to power the engine of Wellhub’s generative AI product and provide partner data to all areas of the company. The successful candidate will work on a comprehensive database of information on existing and potential partners, discovering, collecting, processing, and enriching data from various sources to enhance partner content, user recommendations, and business intelligence.

Role Involves:
  • Designing, developing, and implementing generative AI-based applications.
  • Working with large language models (LLMs) to create innovative applications and solutions.
  • Developing and optimizing RAG systems to enhance the performance and accuracy of AI models.
  • Designing and developing APIs to interface with various AI models and services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in technically leading a software engineering team.
  • Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and related technologies.
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, or Go, or Java.
  • Experienced in working with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
