Engineering Manager - KYC & Eligibility Team

Job Description

Blockchain.com is seeking an Engineering Manager for its KYC & Eligibility team in Paris. This role involves leading a team responsible for customer onboarding and KYC processes, ensuring seamless and secure access to the platform. The Engineering Manager will optimize identity verification processes while balancing compliance requirements and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the reliability and scalability of the KYC & Eligibility platform.
• Collaborating with identity verification providers (Sumsub, Veriff, DXC, etc.).
• Monitoring onboarding performance metrics and improving verification success rates.
• Mentoring and developing engineers within the KYC & Eligibility team.
• Owning the planning and execution of KYC and onboarding-related engineering deliverables.
• Partnering with Compliance, Risk, and Product teams to ensure regulatory and business requirements are met.
• Fostering a culture of innovation and process improvement.

Requirements:

• Experience leading teams in identity verification, fraud prevention, or KYC-related engineering.
• Strong software engineering and system architecture knowledge.
• Experience with JVM languages (Kotlin, Java).
• Familiarity with KYC and identity verification providers (e.g., Sumsub, Veriff, DXC).
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and fraud detection best practices in onboarding.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing engineers.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading onboarding/KYC engineering projects.
