Job Description
BitGo is seeking an IT Specialist to join their new office in Downtown Toronto. The IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing the company's software, hardware, and networks, while providing support to a global staff of employees and contractors. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, and possess excellent communication skills to interact with various teams and users.Responsibilities include:
  • Installing and configuring software and hardware
  • Managing IT help desk and technology tools
  • Provisioning accounts and configuring & deploying workstations
  • Monitoring performance and maintaining systems
  • Troubleshooting issues and outages
  • Ensuring security policies are followed
  • Upgrading systems with new releases and models
  • Training staff on new technologies
  • Maintaining technical documentation
  • Following change management processes
  • Maintaining asset inventory
Requirements include:
  • Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role
  • Experience with endpoint deployment, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, JAMF, MacOS, and Ubuntu)
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize requests
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Self-motivated and research-driven
  • Availability off hours for urgent requests and weekly IT meetings
