Job Description
Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Director to drive strategic sales of its AI-powered security solutions in Tokyo. This role focuses on strategic accounts, comprising of the Global 500. The Key Account Director will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key enterprise clients, identifying new business opportunities, delivering tailored solutions that address complex cybersecurity challenges, and closing deals. They will manage the entire sales cycle and the revenue attributed to winning new customers. The Key Account Director will report to the VP for Sales, Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and grow revenue from key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Understand client needs and align AI security solutions to address their business and technical challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, engineering, marketing) to deliver customized proposals and solutions.
- Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in cybersecurity, AI, or enterprise software.
- Proven track record of managing large enterprise accounts and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies and trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of MEDDPICC is preferable.
- Fluent in English is preferable.
