Senior System Engineer

Job Description

Backbase is seeking a Senior System Engineer to contribute to reusable artifacts and best practices. The candidate will mentor colleagues and participate in R&D and Services interactions. This role involves acting as an advisor for the Backbase product in projects where implementation is done by clients or system integration partners. The role requires approximately 50% travel to meet with people globally.

As a consultant, the Senior System Engineer will take ownership of projects, enabling customers to set up their environments from test to production. They will analyze customer situations, needs, and existing setups, providing documented guidelines for implementation. The engineer will advise on security standards and performance optimization.

The Senior System Engineer will design, develop, and oversee the implementation of solutions that improve the stability, scalability, availability, and latency of the product. Close collaboration with customers, partners, and R&D teams will be essential for product improvement.

Role Involves:

• Advising on Backbase product implementation.
• Consulting with clients on environment setup.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Professional level English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Experience in AWS services.
• Experience in setting and configuring DataBases and RDS.
• Experience in Automation of infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code).
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Similar is a plus.
