Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a Director of Quality Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams for FlashArray in Bangalore, India. The Director will establish and drive Enterprise Readiness Strategy, enabling product engineers to deliver high-quality software and build automated test platforms. This role involves providing technical direction, mentoring, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify use cases and improvements. The Director will scale up processes for test-driven development in a CI/CD environment and expand the shift-left approach for Quality Engineering.
Role involves:
- Leading and managing multiple engineering managers and senior engineers.
- Partnering with FlashArray and FlashBlade Engineering leadership.
- Creating and delivering initiatives with Product Management.
- Defining and leading Enterprise Readiness Quality strategy.
- Driving "Automation First" strategy.
- Ensuring timely project delivery and improving testing efficiency.
- Defining and refining Engineering Quality metrics.
Requirements:
- 15+ years in Enterprise Products, with 8+ years of Leadership experience.
- Experience in managing projects throughout the entire SDLC.
- Experience growing an agile (Scrum) environment.
- Technical hands-on leadership in File System, Storage Ecosystem.
- Experience in developing test strategies and software test automation.
- Experience with developing automation frameworks and developer tools.
- Experience with test-driven development integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
