Job Description
Carta is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their Singapore office. This role involves being a part of a dynamic team focused on positioning Carta as the leading Fund Services group in Asia. The Fund Accountant will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, go-to-market, and operations teams, developing foundational accounting knowledge in a fast-paced environment. This position supports nearly 7,000 funds and SPVs, representing $150B in assets under administration in venture capital and private equity.
Role involves:
- Providing pre/post fund close services
- Managing capital calls and distributions
- Supporting audit and tax processes
- Preparing quarterly and annual financials
- Handling Limited Partner communications
- Streamlining operations and generating efficiencies for clients
- Improving the product through collaboration with product and engineering teams
- Consulting with clients and implementing Fund Administration software
Requirements:
- Recent graduate or individual with up to 1 year of professional accounting experience
- Accounting or finance degree
- Experience interpreting Limited Partnership Agreements and Private Placement Memorandums
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Interest in providing best-in-class service
- Effective communication skills and ability to multitask to meet deadlines
- Understanding of Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Fund Administration
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Interest in working on projects in a fast-paced environment
- CPA/CA qualifications (advantageous)
