Job Description
Carta is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their rapidly growing Fund Administration team. This role involves partnering with top venture capital firms to streamline their financial accounting needs and contributing to Carta's goal of becoming the leading Fund Administration group. The Senior Fund Accountant will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, go-to-market, and operations teams.
Role involves:
- Providing leverage to clients by understanding and prioritizing their needs.
- Scaling CFO services.
- Assisting with capital calls and distributions.
- Providing audit/tax support.
- Handling pre/post close services.
- Preparing quarterly and annual financials.
- Managing Limited Partner communications.
- Improving Carta's product and software.
- Consulting with clients and implementing Fund Administration software.
Requirements:
- Over 3 years of closed-end fund accounting experience.
- An accounting or finance degree.
- Experience interpreting Limited Partnership Agreements.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Venture Capital, Private Equity, Fund or Funds, Fund Administration.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills with Investran experience.
- Experience mentoring/coaching junior accountants.
