Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Services division, focusing on developing and maintaining features for products related to financial services and golf. The role involves contributing to code bases, improving architecture, and participating in production operations. The Senior Developer will provide technical expertise, assist the team in achieving goals, and evolve team processes and tools.

Lightspeed is looking for candidates to fill multiple positions within its various Services teams.

Role involves:

• Developing features and fixing bugs for various services.
• Participating in development planning, retrospectives, and demos.
• Helping break down high-level requirements into development tasks.
• Keeping the team informed of expectations, priorities, and project timelines.
• Leading the estimation of effort for sprint deliverables.
• Driving continuous improvement of software delivery processes.
• Identifying opportunities for growth and career development.
• Participating in the recruitment of talent.
• Providing technical and process guidance to the team.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Offering support for team tools and products.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in programming with TypeScript, Go, Java, Node.js, Ruby/Rails, or C#.
• Experience developing scalable and reliable cloud applications (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with distributed systems architectural paradigms.
• Experience leading initiatives from design to production.
