Job Description
Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Hospitality product group in Montreal. This role focuses on enhancing the Lightspeed Integrations, ensuring the flagship product meets the needs of EMEA and NOAM markets. The developer will collaborate within a dynamic team to improve engineering practices and implement advanced technologies, contributing significantly to the future of hospitality technology.

Role involves:
  • Collaborating with industry experts to enhance the omnichannel product.
  • Contributing to an AWS-hosted, microservice-based platform.
  • Developing new features and maintaining existing partner integrations.
  • Participating in agile ceremonies and advocating for code quality.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.

Requirements:
  • Outstanding Java knowledge with 5+ years of experience.
  • Expert knowledge of the Spring framework.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in English with effective communication skills.
