Rocket Lab is seeking a Contracts Administrator II to be based onsite at their headquarters in Long Beach, CA. This role is responsible for contract administration and compliance across the Rocket Lab enterprise, supporting multiple types of U.S. Government and commercial contracts. The Contracts Administrator will ensure the company meets its contractual obligations and performance milestones, primarily in the areas of space systems and launch services. This position requires high-level productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
What this role involves: - Negotiating and administering government contracts, commercial contracts, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and IP licenses.
- Drafting and negotiating master service agreements, master supply agreements, and launch services agreements.
- Analyzing model contract terms and conditions for program implications.
- Serving as the primary customer interface for contractual compliance matters.
- Assisting in proposal review and preparation for Government and commercial solicitations.
- Creating and maintaining contract and business files.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with Government and customer counterparts.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of contract administration and/or management experience in the Space and/or Aerospace & Defense industries.
- 2+ years of direct management of government contracts of various types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, OT, LSA, MSA, etc.).
- Proficiency in out-of-the -box contracts (OTAs) a plus.
- Experience with a range of agencies (DoD, NASA, IC) in terms and conditions reviews and intellectual property protection.
- Working understanding of legal issues and terminology.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), as well as NASA Space Flight (NSF) and other agency-specific regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
