Job Description
Flow Traders is seeking a Junior Trading Reliability Engineer to join their Digital Assets Tech Ops team in Amsterdam. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of the company's digital assets trading systems across both CeFi and DeFi environments. This role involves collaborating with traders, developers, and performance engineers to drive continuous improvement in a global team setting.Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining the reliability and performance of CeFi and DeFi trading production landscape.
  • Collaborating with traders, performance engineers, and infrastructure teams to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Supporting connectivity onboarding for new exchanges and counterparties.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting trading-critical applications and infrastructure.
  • Contributing to observability, operability, and scalability solutions.
  • Implementing and improving automated monitoring, alerting, and deployment pipelines.
  • Gathering and analyzing system metrics and logs for performance tuning and fault detection.
  • Enhancing software and trading infrastructure reliability through automation and system tuning.
  • Improving the stability, security, and efficiency of trading operations.
  • Contributing to the development of internal tooling and automation.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, SRE, or Production Support.
  • Basic programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Interest in cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies, or DeFi trading protocols.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, multicast, etc.).
  • Security-first mindset.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
Nice to have:
  • Exposure to AWS, GCP, and AliCloud cloud environments.
  • Basic familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Ansible.
  • Interest in high-frequency trading or low-latency environments.
  • Experience with cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies, or DeFi trading protocols.
