Trading Reliability Engineer - Digital Assets

Flow Traders is seeking a Trading Reliability Engineer to join their Digital Assets Tech Ops team in Amsterdam. This role is focused on ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of the company's digital assets trading systems across both CeFi and DeFi environments. The engineer will share responsibilities with a global team, focusing on monitoring, optimizing, and enhancing critical trading applications and infrastructure. They will collaborate closely with traders, developers, and performance engineers to drive continuous improvement.

What this role involves:

• Maintaining and enhancing the reliability and performance of CeFi and DeFi trading technologies.
• Collaborating with traders, performance engineers, and infrastructure teams to resolve bottlenecks.
• Implementing new connectivity onboarding for exchanges and counterparties.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting trading-critical applications and infrastructure.
• Developing and maintaining observability, operability, and scalability solutions.
• Implementing and improving automated monitoring, alerting, and deployment pipelines.
• Gathering and analyzing system metrics and logs for performance tuning and fault detection.
• Partnering with internal teams to enhance software and trading infrastructure reliability.
• Improving the stability, security, and efficiency of trading operations.
• Contributing to the development of internal tooling and automation.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, SRE, or Production Support for mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Interest in cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies, or DeFi trading protocols.
• Security-first mindset and understanding of best practices for safeguarding production environments.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.
