Job Description
Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking a Calibration Technician for their Bloomington, Indiana facility. This is a 2nd shift, 100% onsite position reporting to the Calibration Manager. The Calibration Technician will perform routine and non-routine instrument calibrations, including maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of equipment and instruments for processing and packaging equipment.
The role involves:
- Providing timely and accurate calibration support to manufacturing, packaging, quality, and other departments.
- Setting up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments.
- Adjusting/repairing instruments to meet calibration tolerance requirements.
- Participating in continuous improvement functions.
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma; Associate Degree (AA) preferred
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
- May be required to work with pressurized equipment, hot surfaces
- May be required to work in confined spaces
- Position requires standing for long hours
