Job Description
Teachable is seeking a Product Designer I to join their Commerce team. This role will focus on shaping the future of Teachable's commerce offerings, empowering knowledge-based creators to increase their income. The Product Designer will collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and execute a strategy that balances user needs with business goals. The position is remote and based in Brazil, requiring collaboration with US-based teams and Hotmart employees.
The Product Designer will lead design from ideation to launch, advocating for users, conducting discovery, refining designs, and iterating post-launch. They will also work to modernize the platform and expand payment capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the evolution of commerce experiences, including checkout flows, payment systems, and fraud prevention.
- Conduct research to uncover user needs.
- Advocate for the user while keeping business goals in mind.
- Own work from idea to launch, including sketching, testing, and tweaking designs.
- Run experiments and A/B tests to validate hypotheses and optimize conversion.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Evaluate what’s working and what’s not to improve products.
- Partner with engineering to integrate new payment methods.
- Collaborate with designers and cross-functional partners.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional product design experience.
- Strong visual design principles.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with engineering.
- Comfort working with design systems and component libraries.
- Effective storytelling and communication skills.
- A curious, hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Strong English-speaking skills.
- A portfolio with case studies.
