Job Description
Crunch is seeking a mid-level Python Software Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role focuses on developing the company's platform, ensuring it is faster, more secure, and reliable. The engineer will contribute to new feature development and improve product deployment processes, while also enhancing system availability and reliability. Crunch values collaborative learning through paired programming, transparent code reviews, and design discussions. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently within a distributed team.

What this role involves:
  • Working closely with product managers, sales, and customer success teams to understand system requirements.
  • Contributing to code quality through unit testing, integration testing, code review, and system design using Python.
  • Establishing realistic timelines and ensuring projects meet deadlines.
  • Assisting in diagnosing and fixing system failures.
  • Designing and implementing RESTful API endpoints using Python.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.
  • A record of successful delivery of SaaS and cloud-based applications.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Extensive programming experience using Python.
  • A commitment to producing robust, testable code.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
