Senior Backend Engineer, Grafana Databases Pyroscope

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Pyroscope team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining an open-source continuous profiling database. The engineer will collaborate with the team to deliver new features, lead projects from concept to implementation, and design essential systems. They will also participate in on-call rotations, mentor team members, and expand their knowledge of cloud products.Role involves:

• Collaborating with the team to deliver new features and improvements.
• Leading projects from concept to implementation, including customer support.
• Designing, building, operating, and maintaining essential systems.
• Influencing the roadmap and career objectives.
• Participating in on-call rotations.
• Supporting and mentoring team members.
• Expanding knowledge of cloud products and the codebase.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred).
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping.
• Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering.
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software.
• Experience with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks.
