Senior Backend Engineer, Grafana Databases Pyroscope

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Pyroscope team. This role is fully remote and based in Canada. The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, operating, and maintaining essential systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability. They will collaborate with the team to deliver new features, analyze outcomes, and make improvements, as well as lead projects from concept to implementation, including ongoing customer support. The Senior Backend Engineer will also take an active role in influencing the roadmap and their own career objectives, participate in on-call rotations, and support and mentor team members.Role involves:

• Collaborating with the team to deliver new features and improvements
• Leading projects from concept to implementation
• Designing, building, operating, and maintaining essential systems
• Participating in on-call rotations
• Supporting and mentoring team members

Requirements:

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred)
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to shipping a product
• Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering experience
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software
• Experience with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks
