Job Description
Proton, a company dedicated to online privacy, is seeking a Communications Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. This role involves representing a forward-thinking tech company and driving awareness of Proton's products, including encrypted email, calendar, drive storage, VPN, and password management. The Communications Manager will also raise awareness of Proton as an organization through media profiles and interviews.
Role involves:
- Developing integrated communications campaigns for the UK.
- Generating headlines in UK mainstream, consumer, and tech media.
- Building and maintaining stakeholder maps and media relationships.
- Driving support for Proton's policy positions.
- Engaging with conference and event organizers.
- Protecting Proton's reputation through timely media responses.
Requirements:
- At least five years of communications or PR experience.
- Experience in both B2C and B2B communications.
- Experience building relationships with journalists and acting as a spokesperson.
- A strong network of media contacts.
- Crisis management experience.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Ability to develop strategic market-specific campaigns.
