Lead Data Engineer

Job Description

iFood is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their Data Platform team. This role involves strategic and technical leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and promoting excellence in delivery. The Lead Data Engineer will manage the Data Platform roadmap, prioritize tasks, and ensure continuous value delivery. They will design technical solutions, align with architectural best practices, and ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables.

The Lead Data Engineer will also develop and mentor team members, facilitate communication between technical and business areas, and stay updated on data market trends. They will resolve complex problems and remove impediments to team productivity.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the Data Platform roadmap
• Designing technical solutions

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and PySpark
• Knowledge of Cloud, preferably AWS (Databricks, Airflow, Glue)
• Experience in real-time and batch data ingestion
• Familiarity with GitHub and code versioning practices
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership
• Experience in developing technical teams
• Adaptability to various contexts and good interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to handle changes and challenges
