PayPay Card Corporation is seeking a Database Administrator to enhance its financial services in Japan. The DBA will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing database operations to support PayPay Card products. This role involves ensuring efficient, stable, and optimized storage services for mission-critical systems.

The Database Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day database operations, including monitoring, configuration, upgrades, and scaling.
  • Improving database operations through automation and tooling.
  • Managing backups, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Implementing and maintaining database security policies.
  • Troubleshooting performance and stability issues.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to design scalable data models.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • More than 5 years of DBA experience with ORACLE or MySQL.
  • More than 3 years of AWS experience.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, etc.).
  • English business proficiency.
