Job Description

Ocado Technology is seeking an Engineering Technician to maintain the automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Erith GMDC. The Engineering Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving engineering faults, performing planned servicing and repairs, and participating in improvement projects. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment.

Role Involves:

  • Diagnosing and resolving engineering faults
  • Performing planned servicing and repairs
  • Participating in proactive improvement projects
  • Working with automation hardware/software and control systems
  • Working a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation

Requirements:

  • Technical understanding of automation hardware/software and control systems
  • Formal engineering qualification is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and share knowledge effectively
  • Comfortable working at height using access equipment
