Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Global Sales Director to lead a team focused on acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts within the Fortune 500 market. The Global Sales Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets and contribute to Verkada's growth objectives. The Global team is the most elite sales organization within Verkada. This position reports to the Vice President of Global Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and build a team of Global Account Executives.
- Travel up to 50% to support the team in closing deals and ensuring client success.
- Drive team performance to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance during the sales process.
- Identify and secure new opportunities in greenfield markets.
- Work closely with Global Development, Sales Engineering, Channel Development, and Verkada’s partners.
- Collaborate with the channel partner sales organization to establish initiatives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, manage territories, and develop strategic growth plans.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics.
- Assist with quotes, engage in negotiations, and finalize complex deals.
- Organize pipeline reviews and foster continuous improvement.
- Spearhead recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of Global Account Executives.
Requirements:
- 2-10+ years leading high-performing enterprise sales teams.
- Proven track record of success in driving new business acquisition.
- Demonstrated success working on large, complex deals with Fortune 500 accounts.
- Strong ability to manage and execute process-driven sales cycles.
- Relevant experience in SaaS, cloud software, or hardware industries is a plus.
- Experience working with channel partners is highly desirable.
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- High IQ, EQ, and self-awareness.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- BS/BA degree strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
