Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development to lead an engineering team. This role involves technical leadership and people management. The Senior Manager will contribute to architecture, code reviews, and cloud infrastructure (AWS). They will also mentor engineers, collaborate with product management, and optimize Agile/Scrum processes.
Role involves:
- Architecting, developing, and optimizing scalable cloud-native applications on AWS
- Leading backend development using Linux shell scripting, PHP, Laravel, and modern APIs (REST)
- Leading frontend development using React, NodeJS
- Driving DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, code scans, Kubernetes)
- Ensuring system reliability, security, and cost optimization in cloud environments
- Managing and mentoring a team of team leads and/or engineers
- Collaborating with Product Management to align technical execution with business goals
- Optimizing Agile/Scrum processes and fostering a culture of innovation
Requirements:
- 8+ years in Software development, including 5+ years with AWS or GCP
- 3+ years in Cloud architecture (AWS/GCP certifications preferred)
- 6+ years in one or more database technologies like MySQL, Oracle, Aurora RDS, SQL Server
- 2+ years in Engineering management
- Expertise in microservices, serverless, and containerization (Docker/K8s)
- Some DevOps & monitoring tools background (CI/CD, monitoring, DataDog)
- Knowledge in PHP/Laravel programming
