Job Description
PhonePe Group is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive merchant acquisition and servicing in the Hoshangabad area. This role involves managing a team of Business Development Executives and accelerating PhonePe's presence in the offline space.
The Area Sales Manager will report to the Area Sales Manager and play a key role in driving market share for PhonePe in the offline business.
Responsibilities:
- Grow merchant network through acquisition and servicing.
- Drive quality in execution through audits and reviews.
- Meet merchants to present products and manage escalations.
- Monitor competition and share inputs with leadership.
- Ensure brand visibility in the assigned territory.
- Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and training of BDEs/TLs.
- Monitor KPIs and coach team members.
- Motivate the team with regular communication about schemes and incentives.
Requirements:
- MBA from Tier 2/3 campus with good academic record.
- 2-4 years of experience in sales managing a sales team.
- Experience in Telecom, FMCG, or Retail is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sales/customer service focus.
- Field sales experience with a proven track record of increasing sales and revenue.
- Exposure to the start-up environment is an added advantage.
- Problem-solving abilities with a strong bias for impact.
- Strong ethics and discretion while dealing with customers.
- Drive for results and ability to quantify success.
