PhonePe Group is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive merchant acquisition and servicing in the Hoshangabad area. This role involves managing a team of Business Development Executives and accelerating PhonePe's presence in the offline space.

The Area Sales Manager will report to the Area Sales Manager and play a key role in driving market share for PhonePe in the offline business.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow merchant network through acquisition and servicing.
  • Drive quality in execution through audits and reviews.
  • Meet merchants to present products and manage escalations.
  • Monitor competition and share inputs with leadership.
  • Ensure brand visibility in the assigned territory.
  • Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and training of BDEs/TLs.
  • Monitor KPIs and coach team members.
  • Motivate the team with regular communication about schemes and incentives.

Requirements:

  • MBA from Tier 2/3 campus with good academic record.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales managing a sales team.
  • Experience in Telecom, FMCG, or Retail is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sales/customer service focus.
  • Field sales experience with a proven track record of increasing sales and revenue.
  • Exposure to the start-up environment is an added advantage.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a strong bias for impact.
  • Strong ethics and discretion while dealing with customers.
  • Drive for results and ability to quantify success.
